Hey there – beautiful shot! I am doing my very first beach wedding at the end of May and the shooting time is NOT optimal for daylight. Any suggestions? What type of footwear does a photog use for an all day wedding on sand? :)

    Hi Alisa,
    thank you for your comments.

I actually had this wedding in a church and then we went to the beach so I had nice slip on sandals and then when we got to the beach kicked off my shoes and rolled up my dress pants, as I was knee deep in sand for most of it.

    What time is the wedding?
if its too light back light it and use a reflector if its too dark work on high ISO and maybe look into a video light.
    Cheers

The wedding is at 6 – cocktail hour at 5 so all photos have to be done by then, so that means starting around 3 (if all goes well – they tend to be late). It’s all going to be on the sand all day – even the ceremony – so I’m thinking I may need to be shoe-less for all that. One thing I hate is sand in my shoes! I’m thinking back-lit is the way to go. However, I will be using all kinds because it will go way into the night! Thanks for your words and for taking the time to address my question!
