ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES IN MY BACK POCKET

My name is Oriana Koren, and I am a documentary minded wedding and commercial photographer based in Chicago. When I’m not shooting weddings, I spend my time wandering the city of Chicago, photographing its offbeat nooks, crannies, and all the meals I eat in between my explorations.

What does mobile photography mean to you?

To be honest, I was a bit skeptical of mobile photography at first. I make photographs for a living so it was hard to untether myself from my DSLR or my film point and shoot cameras. But, let’s face it, DSLRs and multiple P&S are cumbersome to carry around and beg for attention. I’m sneaky about how I capture my images, so having my very small, very quiet camera phone on my person opened up a whole new world of image making for me. Now, not only can I make images for myself and document my life, I can also have fun doing it: no pressure, no stress, no rules. The possibilities are endless. That’s what mobile photography means to me: endless possibility, right in my back pocket.

What is your favorite PicTapGo feature?

I love PicTapGo’s simplicity and it’s capability for customization. I’ve used just about every editing app on the market, but none of them give my images the sort of signature of originality that PicTapGo does. I know in vision and in editing, the images I make are unique to me and no one else. And because I use Totally Rad products in my wedding and commercial workflow, I’m able to keep consistency across platforms, which is super important to me. My favorite filters are High Fives, Warm It Up Kris, Loft and now the new additions of Pier Pressure and SloBurn. I also really love how personable the Totally Rad/PicTapGo team is. It feels good using a product and the folks behind it care enough to reach out and commend your work. It makes me want to make more and more images with PicTapGo!
