LONDON AND PARIS THROUGH A LENS

Brrr… it was winter but nothing was going to stop me from visiting London & Paris in December 2013. As a photographer, I love to photograph people and architecture. These two cities offered me plenty of both. Plus, it was also a good opportunity to experiment my newly bought Replichrome I: Icon filters for Lightroom (bought on Black Friday) with my Sony A99. The film simulation brought out the feel of my photographs. The photographs just "pop" and make me miss London and Paris even now.
There is no doubt that London is one of the best cities that I have ever visited. Portobello Market, located in West London, was an amazing sight. It is no wonder that tourists, and even locals, from all over flock there on weekends. It has everything. You name it and I am pretty sure they have it there somewhere in Portobello Market. As you walk around and bask in the wonderful atmosphere, you cannot help but feel a sense of joy and amazement. This is further enhanced by the extremely catchy and upbeat music played by numerous talented buskers along the streets.
However, this is not to say that Paris was not as breath-taking as London. The beauty of the city skyline, with its low rise buildings in contrast to the magnificent Eiffel Tower, as well as the surreal view of the entire city from the top of the Eiffel Tower itself were the highlights of my trip. There is a reason why Paris is called "The City of Love". With its rustic charm, love, truly, was all around.
